Erfolgreicher Familienbetrieb für die Landwirtschaft
1969 schlug die Geburtsstunde des Viehhandels Josef Venneker. Auf ihrem westfälischen Bauernhof in Nordkirchen gründeten die Eheleute Josef und Hildegard Venneker einen Viehvermarktungsbetrieb. Mit nur einem Anhänger begann Landwirt Josef Venneker zunächst die Tiere aus seinem Betrieb abzusetzen. Nachdem das gelang, wünschten auch Landwirte aus der Nachbarschaft den Mitvertrieb ihrer Tiere. So wuchs der Viehhandel vom Hof Venneker in Nordkirchen aus. Die Familie baute den Handel und den Transport von Tieren schrittweise aus. Schon bald schafften sie sich den zweiten und dritten Viehanhänger an.
Das Unternehmen vergrößerte sich. Der Bauernhof wurde immer mehr zu einem Umschlagplatz für Zucht- und Schlachttiere.1986 und 1988 übernahmen die Söhne Albert und Heinz Venneker verantwortungsvolle Aufgaben im Familienunternehmen. Als 2002 die Betriebsübergabe an Albert Venneker erfolgte, wurde das Unternehmen in Viehhandel Josef Venneker, Inhaber Albert Venneker e.K., umfirmiert. Heinz Venneker übernahm die Geschäftsführung. Die Vielseitigkeit des Familienbetriebes in zweiter Generation spiegelt sich auch in der Namensgebung „Venneker Unternehmensgruppe" mit den Sparten Viehhandel, Logistik und Natur wider.
